This month’s RESTART® sessions are winding down. I led three RESTART® groups simultaneously this session and am so motivated and empowered by all these fantastic women. They all changed their lives for the better through food. And because we all know that women run our households, children (and husbands) are benefitting from the participants’ newfound knowledge as well!

You will feel supported, empowered and accountable.
Over and over, I hear from participants that the group aspect of this program is fabulous. Our weekly face-to-face interactions are invaluable. We truly get to know each other and build long-lasting friendships through the process! RESTART® holds participants accountable during the sugar detox, keeps the energy high and motivates you to keep on keeping on.
There will be no shortage of recipes, cookbook recommendations and shopping tips. In our secret Facebook group, there are photos and lists for sugar detox approved shopping at Costco, Whole Foods and Amazon.com. Your wish is my command in this program.
My goal is your improved health, and I do everything in my power to help make that happen.
Preparation is the key to success.
Most of us would not set out on vacation without planning where we’re headed, how we’ll get there or what we’ll pack. RESTART® is the same. Planning and preparation are imperative so that you’re not starving and staring into an empty pantry and fridge. I will give you easy to follow steps to plan and prepare for the sugar detox.
It will be okay to mess up during your sugar detox.
This one should not be construed as an excuse to not take your RESTART® seriously, but life can get in the way of the best laid plans.
You have a nourishing, home-cooked dinner in the oven, and your best friend from out of town calls, is visiting for the night and wants to meet for dinner. Are you going to say no? Absolutely not!
You get to work and realize that you left your detox-approved lunch in the fridge at home. Go hungry? No way!
Things will happen, life gets in the way and opportunities arise. You do the best you can with the cards your dealt and move on. Get ’em next time!
You will never feel hungry during our time together.
Bottom line, if you are hungry during RESTART®, you are not eating enough. Good health, ideal weight, glowing skin, mental clarity and refreshing sleep cannot be obtained with calorie deprivation or the combination of eating less and moving more. I will teach you how to properly combine your fats, proteins and carbohydrates for long-lasting energy and satiety.
You will eat from home a lot.
RESTART® will be your personal experience; therefore, it will be what you make of it. Said another way, you will get out of it what you put into it. Best results are achieved from a sugar detox when the majority of your meals are home-cooked where you have control over ingredients.
With that said, we’re all going to eat out. It’s fun, easier and a large part of most people’s culture. My goal is to inspire you to eat at home during this time; however, you will also receive plenty of tips and tricks for eating out when the need arises.
Grocery shopping will feel different
The modern supermarket is a confusing place when trying to make the healthiest decisions. Food package claims like “No Sugar Added”, “Trans-Fat Free”, “Gluten Free”, “Vitamin D Fortified”, “Heart Healthy” and “100% Natural” seem helpful but are actually misleading in many ways. During our time together, expect to gain a new perspective on and method of tackling the modern supermarket.
You will define success, progress and health in a whole new way.
RESTART® will be different than other “diets” or “programs” you’ve tried. There are no point systems, no calorie maximums, no mandatory weighing and no daily shakes or required supplements. I won’t ask you to exercise intensely in an effort to burn more calories than you’ve eaten for the day.
When you consistently feel good, you also look good. Another way of saying this, “Get healthy on purpose, get hot by accident!” I want you to experience how good it feels to feed your body with the nutrients it requires. When you’re eating foods your body understands, it functions properly and allows you to live the life you desire.

The back of my business card displays a well-known quote by Hippocrates, known as the “Father of Western Medicine”. It says:
“Let food by thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
